My First Blog Post
February 21st, 2006That pretty much sums it up.
I’m starting a blog for several reasons:
- I want to tweedle with the site’s XHTML/CSS/PHP and this is the perfect playground.
- I need an outlet for writing and for improving mine.
- I need some way to keep up with family & friends without spamming them whenever the fancy takes me.
- There’s nothing like public accountability to keep you reading and learning.
I hope I can be a good blogdad and update this somewhat frequently, but bear with me as I get started.

I’ll try to post some reviews and quotes as I have time. They might be very uneven in length (I don’t think I’d post a lot about To Own a Dragon, but I might post a tome about Velvet Elvis)…
It always happens that just as you decide to try something new, life begins to dump new things on you that crowd that thing out. That seems to be happening somewhat already with this blog!
